Lending Throughout the Caribbean and Americas
The Caribbean is a wonderful place to live, work or simply vacation. Known for its ideal climate and slow pace of life, the Caribbean is a natural draw for sun seekers and expat investors alike; the sunny south has a little something for everyone.
The Caribbean and much of the Americas have also been known for great places to invest, with high returns and very little government regulation or tax. This is true in many cases, but its also true that doing business in the Caribbean also has its challenges.
Caribbean Mortgage Financing
One of the big challenges for developers is finding offshore capital for their projects down here, banks are much tighter in their lending than what you would experience in North America or much of Europe. This challenge also creates an opportunity however for lenders who can fund projects at good returns for their dollar; that is what we do at Carib Capital. We work with mortgage funds, private investors and private banks where they are looking to invest their client’s money in something safe, with a good rate of return.
We can facilitate loans throughout the Caribbean and Americas (on a case by case basis), looking for mid to large residential projects as well as small to mid sized commercial properties in need of financing. We fund deals that the banks won’t so your project keeps moving ahead. Contact us today to discuss your Caribbean project!
Working with Banks in the Caribbean
In some cases we do also work with banks in the Caribbean. Banks are not always reliable however due to the length of time it takes to process the application (often several months), and the difficulty with getting clients approved. Working through a special arm of one of the major banks however, we can offer jumbo loans, with much quick turn around times than the branches.
These bank loans are available in a number of Caribbean countries, and offer our best mortgage rates and terms. For loans that do not fall into this bracket however, we generally do not deal with the banks due to the timing and service issues.
