Demand For Caribbean Real Estate Way Up in 2015

A new report by 7th Heaven Properties shows demand for Caribbean real estate is way up in 2015 over the same period last year. Some of the highlights show a two fold increase in some locations including the Turks and Caicos; St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and the Dominican Republic all show large increases in real estate sales so far this year. It does not appear to be concentrated in any particular country or region however, Caribbean properties are HOT in 2015!!

This is great news for a region of the world that took a hit during the past 6 years due to the down turn in the global economy. In many locations, tourists did come back fairly quickly but the buyers seemed to be keeping their money at home. As we mentioned a week ago, this is very much driven by the US market however buyers from the UK and Canada are also high on the list of new home owners throughout the Caribbean.

One program that seems to be especially successful in terms of bringing buyers to the region is the citizenship for investment programs of Antigua and St Kitts and Nevis. With any luck this program will catch on throughout the Caribbean and bring more investment to the region.
