Having lived in the Turks and Caicos for a number of years, many of them during tough times, I can tell you things are definitely heating up in the real estate market. There is a flurry of activity around high end villas and condos (to a lesser extent), and there is steady talk about different developments getting started in the near future; the good times are almost back!
A big part of this is no doubt the US market finally coming out of its malaise, as things here were not going to pick up until things got better over there. Most of the projects here seem to be US driven although there are new players coming out of the South America. Regardless of where the money comes from however, its good news for a small country that has had to weather a long storm of economic uncertainty.
If you are thinking of investing in the Turks and Caicos, whether it be a small vacation condo or a large resort, now is the time to get your shovels into the ground!
